July 4th

Okay, so I know that it is almost a month late, but I just haven't felt like posting lately. Adam left this morning on a business trip to Denver. He will be gone until late Thursday night. I thought since I had some time at the computer without Adam here, I would try to get caught up. We had a great time at the fourth celebration. Adam's parents always have a big party at their house for the fourth. It is great fun!!
Avery really enjoyed himself. The only time he threw a fit was when he was being held down for pictures. Figures, huh. This picture turned out cute, though.
Lily, as always, had to "pose". Most of her poser pictures look the same, but this one turned out so cute!!!
Lily and her cousin Kendra. They are so close. Kendra is 5 months older than Lily, but they are like sisters. They fight like sisters. It is so funny cause they can be fussing with each other, and then when we have to leave they cry because they don't want to leave each other. I love it that they are so close. I hope they are ALWAYS this close. They have a lifetime friend in each other!!!
They had these air rockets set up and both of the kids LOVED it. I think they enjoyed this more than the fireworks to be quite honest. You pump up the air chamber and then when you release it the rocket gets set off into the air. Avery would stand with his head up in the air just looking at the rockets. It was so great!!!
More rocket pictures!!!
By the time that the fireworks got started, it was getting late and Avery was getting sleepy. So his blanket was his constant companion. But he still loved the sparklers. His favorite of all the fireworks. This is a picture of my mom with him.
Lily was a little afraid of the fireworks this year, though you can't tell by this picture.
We really did have a great time this year. We always do. I have a couple of prayer requests for everyone, and then I am done.
  1. Please pray for Adam to have a good trip and come back home safely.
  2. Please pray for little Emory Keys. She is the daughter of a high school friend of mine. She will be having surgery on Wed. July 23rd. Please pray for a successful surgery. Please also pray for her parents during this time.
  3. Please pray for my mental health. Though I am feeling much better, there are still rough patches. I am really relying on God to get me through this.
  4. Lastly, please pray for my family and friends (which includes all of you). They have been a pillar of strength for me during this time. I wouldn't have made it through without the constant show of love from my friends and family.

I love you all!!!
