Adam's family tells this story to help define just how stubborn he was and how much of a temper he had. When he was around 5 he was home with just his dad (Ken). His mom (Ginny) was taking night classes at the college, so Ken put Adam to bed. Adam said he wanted a drink of water. I think all of us know what it's like to have a child stalling, especially when it's bedtime. Well, he said he wanted water from the kitchen, but since the bathroom was closer, Ken got him water from the bathroom. I guess Adam threw a fit about it and ended up not getting any water. Well, this made him mad, and he decided to throw a shoe down the hall. Ken went and spanked him and put him back in bed. Adam got up and threw another shoe down the hall. So Ken went and spanked him and put him back in bed. Well, I guess Adam did it 3 or 4 more times, and Ken continued to spank him and put him back in bed. Luckily, Ginny got home and broke it up before it escalted to a bad point. Well, my son has inherited this stubbornness from his father. The other night he climbed up on a speaker so he could reach some disks that were on top of the dresser where we keep the DVD player. I got him down, and told him no. He turned around and climbed right back up there with a look in my direction that said, "Whatcha gonna do now, Mom!" So I took him down, spanked him and told him no. He turned around and climbed up there again, and again, and again, and again. After about the 7th or 8th time, I took him into his bedroom, and sat in there with him for a few minutes. I figured he wasn't going to quit so the best thing for both of us was just to remove him from the situation. But, the whole time that he continued to climb up there, the shoe story was in my mind. From the way I understand it his temper comes from Adam also. It is amazing to me how he can go from laughing and happy to throwing an absolute tantrum in a matter of seconds. Lily gets upset, but she does not throw fits like Avery does!!!
I have been told by so many people that I need to write things that kids do that I think is funny or cute down, so I will remember them 20 years from now. What better way to do that, than to blog about it. That way I can put it on a disk for later and share it with all of you now!!! Lily is so sarcastic. She comes by it honest. Adam and I are both pretty sarcastic. The other day we were picking up in the living room, and she asked if we were going to pick it all up. I, of course, said yes. She then proceeded to walk over to the TV and try to "pick it up". It is impossible for me not to laugh in these situations. I know that I shouldn't, but it is just so stinkin funny!!! Yesterday, we were in the playroom and I told her to find her cup so I could fill it up for lunch. She said, "I don't know where it is", so I said, "Look for it". Lily asked where and I told her to look everywhere in the playroom. Guess where the first place she looked was...in my shirt!! I love it!! I am glad that she has a sense of humor...our family is always making jokes, and we all have a great sense of humor!!!
I hope everyone is having a good week!! Love ya!!!

So funny. Mine are pretty sarcastic about stuff too. Can't imagine where that came from! ;)
Cigna is a pain. You can take your rx's to Sullivan and they will bill it for you. That way you don't have to wait to get reimbursed. :)
As far as Ava's accident is concerned... I am sure they were trying to get $$ for themselves should we choose to sue. CRAZY!
