Playing Around!!

The kids have been having such a great time playing "egg hunt". Who would have thought that some cheap buckets and eggs would be such great fun!?!?!?!?! The other night Lily and I played egg hunt for about 2 hours. I have to say that it gets really hard to find a new hiding place the 20th time you go to hide eggs!! She didn't seem to mind finding them all in the same places, though. Avery still doesn't really get the concept, so he just walks around carrying the bucket. He really thinks he is as big as Lily. It is just so cute.

Avery has such a great time with his Easter bucket. It serves as a nice hat, don't you think?
Lily took all the stuff that was out the other night and piled it all up around the chair. She said that she was building a castle. I didn't really get it. To me it just looked like she was piling all the mess in one area (which made it much easier to clean up later!). But, she kept saying, "Mom, look at my castle...isn't it beautiful!". I wish that I could get inside her head sometimes. I know that it made sense to her, but I just didn't get it!!

I love this age!! He is such a little inquisitive child. He is always trying something new. I love to watch him trying to do something that Lily is doing. Most of the time, he will keep working on it until he's got it. He is very persistant!!
Lily decided that since Avery was using his bucket as a hat, she could too!! I made this dress for her for Christmas. It is her Dora dress. For those of you not familiar, Dora wears a dress almost exactly like this in "Dora, Dance to the Rescue". She didn't ask for a Dora dress, but when we would watch that movie she would always say how beautiful the dress was, so I took it upon myself to make that for her. She really loves, and that makes my heart swell. It is such a great feeling to know that I made it!!!
Well, I hope everyone is having a good weekend!! Love you all!
